Total Custom Patches offers a wide variety of embroidered patches, with different styles, colors, and attachment options. We know you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for.
Embroidery Coverage
Embroidery coverage is the amount of embroidery across the entire surface of a patch. We base our embroidery percentages upon 2 basic amounts:
Up to 99% Coverage: Up to 99% embroidery filling refers to the patches that have visible background fabric to some extent.
100% Coverage: The background fabric is not visible in the 100% fill patches. These patches are tough and strongly cling to the garment.
3D Patches
Your patches come to life with Total Custom Patches!
They have a great-embossed embroidery feature giving a 3D look to your patch.

Backing Options
Normal Backing
This backing is most common and gives higher quality embroidery results.
- It can be sewn directly on the garment.
- It can be used conveniently with any patch, regardless of size, shape, or border type.
We, at Total Custom Patches include plastic backing free of cost, which is used as a default.
Iron Backing
Also known as heat-seal, iron-on backing sticks on to your garment by simply being ironed on.
- There is a shiny plastic film on the back that melts and adheres to the fabric when heated.
- It adds a little more stiffness to your patches.
- It also flattens the patches.
Total Custom Patches uses top quality iron-on backing which lasts longer than our client’s expectations.
Velcro Backing
If your uniform or garment does not already have a loop fastener area, then two-sided Velcro is the best choice.
- This backing comes with both, the hook and loop side.
- It is easy and quick; sew the loop you’re good to go!
TCP fuses the Velcro in such a way that the stitches are invisible on the patch.
Adhesive Backing
Also known as peel and stick, adhesive backing, in a sense, turns your patch into an embroidered sticker.
- It is a non-permanent option therefore; best for a single event.
- The paper backing for adhesive patches can fit the shape of the patch.
It can also be oversized, for quick and easy peeling and application.
